Overview

We are offering a total of $1500.00 Hiring Incentive as follows: $750 after 6 months of employment; $750 after 12 months of employment (subject to your current tax rates).

 

Hampton will match up to 4 weeks per year of paid time off for relevant industry experience.

 

This position will be responsible for managing the inventories of the parts warehouse for the Darrington Plant Site. The role may be expected to travel to other Hampton Mills and vendors as needed. This person will work closely with the buyers, engineering department, outside contractors, mill maintenance teams and the project manager. The Logistic Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating inventory and products needed for current plantsite project and installment of new sawmill. This position will be under the leadership & direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. Successful applicant will be required to learn parts descriptions and machine centers. The main goal of Warehouse Coordinator will be focused on the replenishment of parts & supplies taken out of the warehouse, as well as receiving parts and supplies.This person will also be responsible for establishing a new warehouse and standard operating procedures to support the new mill. The role will be considered as a buyer in training and will at times assist in procurement. Ensuring quality goods and services are being procured from preferred/selected vendors.

 

This is a fulltime position, Monday –Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. This position has an hourly rate of $29.31 ($60,964 annually  which does not include any overtime or production bonuses), Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site’s target goals.

Responsibilities

 

  • The primary logistics resource for the Engineering Department and Project Manager. Coordinating, reviewing shipments for proper receiving, collaborating with transportation parties, Organizing, managing inventory, and storage. Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues. Preparing project shipments for both contractors and the mill project team.
  • Delivery of parts to assigned points in the plant site and warehouse management/ organization.  
  • Responsible to ensure critical spares are ordered and stocked.
  • Responsible for notifying the supervisor and planner when parts are available.
  • Responsible for kitting work orders, inspecting kits for accuracy, and delivering to designated area.
  • Maintain inventory database for gearboxes.
  • Assist internal customers to locate items in the warehouse.
  • Properly package, label and ship items to be repaired.
  • Must be willing to attend training to improve performance.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure the timely, cost-effective, accuracy of supplies and parts.

Qualifications

  • Have strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to details, good organizational skills, be a self-starter, ability to prioritize tasks and self-motivated.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. daily
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • PIT certified and/or obtain certification
