The primary function of Entry Level - Operator 1 at the Randle Division, is to keep the facility clean in order to eliminate safety and fire hazards. The person in this position will work in the Sawmill or Planer and will be asked to perform the following tasks; general facility clean up including picking up slabs, sticks, sawdust, chips off lower mill floors, and assist with dust mitigation. This is a full time position with cross training lead-ins to operate some of the advanced production equipment in the facility.
Entry Level - Operator 1, is just the first step towards a long list of exciting and diverse job opportunities available at Hampton Lumber. As you are trained on different mill production jobs to assist with rotations, you will gain the job experience to become proficient on advanced positions with wage increase possibilities. Hampton Lumber also maintains apprenticeship programs, where employees can receive advanced training to develop the skills needed to receive Journeyman status in skilled trade positions such as Millwright or Electrician, with all the required classes paid for by the company.

The Randle facility has been in operation under Hampton Lumber ownership since 1999. Located in the heart of the Cowlitz Valley, the Randle plant employs over 150 team members, many of which have worked here for decades. We are committed to working together to continuously improve in all areas within the plant-site to ensure a safe and competitive facility.
