Hampton Lumber is a family-owned forest products business headquartered in Portland, Oregon, employing about 1,600 people primarily in Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. Forklift operators at Arlington are asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. Forklift operators unload finished product from lumber trucks, sort the product into proper locations, and assist with paper wrapping procedures at the facility. Forklift operators load outbound trucks, box cars, flat cars, and A-frame railcars with the appropriate material. They also perform the necessary car cabling and car tightening, tie down, air bagging, or banding needed for each type of load.
The person who fills this position must have the ability to learn to access shipping computer system to generate required paperwork for shipping and inventory information. As production needs dictate, forklift operators will also assist with processing side loads, paper wrapping procedures, and general site maintenance or clean-up.
Hourly Wage is $27.82 ($57,860 annually) and the shift is Monday-Friday, Day Shift and times are TBD.
