Overview

This position's primary function is to repair and maintain the equipment within the mill. Must maintain a working relationship with maintenance, production, and management personnel to achieve the goals of the organization. Schedule: Friday-Monday 5:00am-3:00pm, Flexible as needed. Wage starts at $31.96-$37.06 per hour ($66,476 - $77,084 per year before any shift differentials, overtime and production bonuses). Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site's target goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot all systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Understand and work with work order systems, machine histories, scheduling, warehousing, and related maintenance fields.
  • Operate all facility equipment to the degree needed for troubleshooting and testing.
  • Assist production personnel to maintain the flow of product.
  • Follow Company lockout, safety, and work standards.
  • Must be willing to attend any training necessary to upgrade performance.
  • Operate machinery in a safe manner so injury does not occur to operator or any employee in the area.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.

Qualifications

A minimum of 3-years in a Journey Level Industrial Millwright position. State classification as a Journeyman Millwright is preferred but not required or currently be enrolled in the Apprentice Program. Must hold and maintain current Hampton PIT authorization. High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

 

Proficient in ability to weld, cut, troubleshoot equipment and systems, maintain all working components, operate machinery, understand pneumatic and hydraulic systems, proficient use of all tools related to the trade and good communication skills.
