Hampton Lumber is a fourth-generation, family-owned company headquartered in Portland, Oregon. With over 80 years in the sawmill business, Hampton operates sawmills in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia and markets wood products all over the world. Hampton also manages a wholesale and lumber export division and numerous reload, remanufacturing, and engineered wood manufacturing and sales operations throughout the U.S. through affiliates, Idaho Timber and RedBuilt. All of Hampton’s forestlands are certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), an independent, non-profit organization that promotes sustainable forest management. SFI-certified forests play an important role in water conservation, wildlife habitat, and climate solutions.
The position of journey level millwright will be responsible for understanding their mechanics of working machinery, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment and facilities on the plant site. Will have the ability to establish a working relationship with maintenance, production, and management personnel to achieve the goals of the organization. Ability to understand and work with work order systems, machine histories, scheduling, warehousing, and related maintenance fields.
Wage: $29.30 - $37.06 ($60,944 - $77,084 annually) which does not include any applicable shift differential. Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site’s target goals.
Work Schedule: Friday-Sunday 5:00am-3:30pm, followed by one 10 hour shift one day during the week. Day to be determined. The schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
