Overview

We are offering a total of $1500.00 Hiring Incentive as follows: $750 after 6 months of employment; $750 after 12 months of employment (subject to your current tax rates).

 

Hampton will match up to 4 weeks per year of paid time off for relevant industry experience.

 

The position of Operator 1's primary function is to learn and operate various machine centers within the sawmill/planer. (Work is subject to change based on faciility needs) Other tasks include cleanup and general maintenance around the facility. 

Shift Schedule: Day Shift: Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm. Swing Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3am (Schedule subject to change based on facility needs)

 

This position has an hourly rate of $23.34 - $31.61 ($48,547 - $65,748 annually) which does not include any applicable shift differential. Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site’s target goals.

Responsibilities

  • Practice safe work habits and comply with all company work and safety standards
  • Keep sawmill/planer clean – areas include basement, walkways, chipper and etc.
  • Pick up slabs, sticks, sawdust, and chips off lower mill floors
  • Assist with dust mitigation
  • Good communication skills through writing, speech and hearing
  • Follow company lockout policies
  • Notify supervisor of any problems that might arise
  • Be willing to train at machine centers
  • Help relieve for breaks and lunches
  • Apply good housekeeping standards to your work area or any area you observe
