Overview

This position will focus on GIS support for the management of Hampton’s timberlands and other forestry operations. The successful candidate will work closely with other Hampton staff to provide support and essential geospatial information used in decision-making, planning, and monitoring.

 

This full-time, in-person position will be based in and work out of the Salem, Oregon, office.

Responsibilities

  • Digitize and manage spatial data
  • Manage data workflows and field data collection formats to provide end users with accurate mapping and data information
  • Consolidate and standardize information from a variety of sources for the development and maintenance of the databases and workflows
  • Utilize the following software systems: ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, ArcGIS Dashboards and other mobile applications
  • Provide ESRI software instruction and support to other users
  • Field and respond to requests for spatial and tabular deliveries
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of spatial and tabular data
  • Simplify and standardize data management processes and create innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Support the silvicultural, harvesting, and data collection operational needs of Hampton’s forestry operations

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional GIS experience with ArcGIS Pro
  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Geography or a related field, or a GIS Certificate
  • Preferred 2 years of professional experience in forestry or a related natural resources field
  • Preferred 4 years of experience working with ESRI software and products
