Overview

This position's primary function is to have a working relationship with maintenance, production, and management personnel to achieve the goals of the organization and to maintain and repair buildings and plant facilities to the required standards.

 

The work schedule: Monday-Friday (7:00am-3:30pm) The schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the facility which may include weekends.

Wage is $33.00 per hour - ($68,640 annually) which does not include any applicable shift differential. Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site’s target goals.

Responsibilities

  • Pressure washing and painting roofs and buildings, repairing roof leaks, replacing old tin, building and installing storage shelves, finish carpentry, form up and finish concrete, ground maintenance and any other carpenter type support for our plant.
  • Work with work order systems, scheduling, warehousing, and related maintenance fields
  • Operate forklift, skid steer, loader, etc.
  • Follow Company lockout, safety, and work standards.
  • Attend any training necessary to upgrade performance
  • Notify supervisor of any problems that arise during the shift.
  • Train any employees as assigned by supervisor.
  • Work overtime as necessary.
  • Clean shop and maintain proper housekeeping to promote a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates will need to supply their own tools as required for the position. A detailed list will be provided.
  • Understanding of current building codes is preferred but no required.
  • Obtain required Hampton certifications
  • Have strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to details, good organizational skills, be a self-starter, ability to prioritize tasks and self-motivated.
  • Proficient use of all hand tools and electrical tools related to the trade.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of mechanical operations used in the industry and be able to maintain, install, repair, buildings and facilities throughout the plant.
  • Possess the necessary skills and aptitudes required to operate maintenance tools and related machinery.
  • Capable of working on ladders, walking stairs, and on uneven surfaces.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred but not required.
  • Lift up to 50lbs. daily
  • A minimum of 3 years in an industrial building maintenance or carpentry is required.
  • The candidate must be proficient in all aspects of building maintenance, carpentry, and finish carpentry. They must also have a valid Washington State driver’s license.
