This position's primary function is to safely maintain saws and machine centers.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4pm-2:30am, flexible as needed  

Wage: $38.19 per hour ($79,435 per year before any shift differentials, overtime and production bonuses). Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on the plant site's target goals.

1. Sharpening Round Saws.
2. Sharpening Band Saws
3. Stelite tipping, side dressing and profiling saws.
4. Pouring and grinding babbitt guides
5. Grinding band mill guides.
6. Helping to change saws where needed on all saw machine centers
7. Help with preventative maintenance program on all machine centers as they relate to saw performance.
8. Benching Round and Band Saws
9. Welding cracked saws
10. Maintaining all machine center lube systems so that saws are protected.
11. Lining up and leveling up all sawing machine centers.
12. Perform preventative maintenance and maintain appropriate checklist.
13. Work overtime as required.

1. Three years minimum experience benching Saws.
2. Three years minimum experience Fitting, Tipping, and Side grinding.

 Hampton Lumber has operated the Morton plant since 1999. We currently employ 140 people in good, family-wage jobs. Some members of our team have worked here for over 30 years while others have just started their careers.
